ABOUT

Come for the Calm. Stay for the Mystery. Or Not. That’s Cool Too.

We’re here for your nervous system—to steady it and help it sing. If you’re not looking for a clearer mind, more natural energy, sharper focus, or simply feeling more at ease in your own skin, this site may not be for you.

“Let the science support you. Let the stillness speak.”

Meditation is powerful on its own. Everything else here simply helps you go further.

Maybe you’re getting by just fine—besides the high stress and fast pace of life.

Some of us haven’t always had it so good. Some of us are rebuilding after storms or walking beside someone who is.

You’ll also find practices here with ancient roots and symbolic meaning. We won’t ask you to believe anything—but we won’t pretend the stories aren’t there. For some, they’re a guide; for others, they’re simply poetry.

Whether you call your higher power the Divine, Source, Spirit, The Universe, Mother Earth, Allah, Buddha, God, anything else, or nothing at all, you’re welcome here.

Here, we focus on love, not labels.

“Walk your path. It’s your journey.”

That’s also why we’re creating The Healing Grove—a grounded space of support for anyone seeking a quiet place to heal from the stresses of life in a turbulent world—with special reach out to people and families navigating addiction along with those stepping into recovery. The Healing Grove is a place to breathe. A reminder that healing doesn’t happen alone.

Ten minutes of meditation a day can reshape your life. Our hope is to help you find joyful stillness—and a safe place to land if you or someone you love is seeking healing.

“No one heals alone.”

Our Mission

To help quiet the mind and steady the heart—so people can meet themselves and one another with greater kindness.

We offer grounded practices and thoughtful resources for those seeking clarity, healing, or a gentler way forward. Whether someone is building a meditation practice, finding their footing after disruption, or walking alongside addiction or recovery, our aim is the same: to reduce unnecessary suffering by supporting calm, awareness, and care.

Our Vision

We envision a calm, inclusive community rooted in shared humanity—where inner steadiness gives rise to compassion, and small daily practices become quiet acts of strength.

Through accessible tools like meditation, breathwork, mindful movement, and honest reflection, we hope to create spaces that feel steady and human. Not driven by doctrine or division, but by the belief that when people feel less overwhelmed and less alone, they naturally treat the world more gently.

For Your Stillness

Explore paths to
balance and renewal.

Each of the practices below comes from time-honored traditions, offering unique ways to steady the body, calm the mind, and expand awareness.

Whether through breath, movement, sound, or pattern, each opens a doorway into stillness. We share them with respect for their origins and hope they enrich your own path to peace and vitality.

More meditation styles and companion practices will follow as the site continues to grow.

Call me Marcus.

My story is a quiet one, not so different from countless others. For some of us, finding peace meant a turning point—a new way of living after years of battle, endless anxiety and inner turmoil maybe compounded by addiction. For many of us finding something like real peace of mind was a precious gift.

We find that this gift multiplies as you spread it around.

But you don’t need to have had any sort of dramatic transformation, a “spiritual awakening” or a “dark night of the soul” to belong here. This place is about healing and thriving from wherever you're at.

Whether you’re stepping out of a difficult season or simply looking for more calm, clarity, and balance, there are pathways to peace for you here.

The Site:
marcusplum.com

That spirit of quiet beginnings is carried in the name as marcusplum.com is a nod to where the journey started and how it continues. My dad dubbed me “Marcus” before I can remember…siblings followed suit…then extended family…and today most people I know call me Marcus. “Plum” is a nickname which shortens our family name since evidently it's tricky in English.

The site marcusplum.com began as a portfolio site for the nature photography I found mindful times in during my early years of recovery. The site has since grown into a portal for meditation and mindful practices. We kept the name as a reminder of the journey.
